RUMA Agriculture was deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of Charles Sercombe.
RUMA Chair, Cat McLaughlin says: “Charles was both a sheep farmer and a dedicated advocate for the sheep industry who gave his time and expertise to serve on many boards, Government committees and groups at the highest of levels, including the RUMA Targets Task Force (TTF). His contributions were always delivered with enthusiasm, honesty and fairness, which earned him the utmost of respect from his peers.
“Charles was a member of the RUMA TTF since its inception and was instrumental during TTF1 in helping to raise the profile of the AMR issue in the sheep industry at a time when it was still a relatively new issue and language for sheep farmers and their vets.
“He was a champion of our industry and will be missed by those who knew him, and remembered fondly for the things he valued so strongly. Everyone at RUMA Agriculture extends our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.”
